I’m 35 years old. I just went to the doctor yesterday, and I’m officially 5’7 1/2”, 208lbs. I usually hover somewhere around 200, but I think the cake, pies, and mashed potatos over Thanksgiving fattened me up a bit.
I’ve been overweight since about 4th grade. A gym teacher discouraged me during an athletic competition in early elementary school, and I’ve hated exercise/competition since then. By the time I got away from that awful gym teacher, I was too overweight to care. I used to blissfully climb trees, chase boys through the playground, and be an active young girl. It’s tragic what one person’s disapproval can ruin.
I’m comfortable with myself now. I post nudes on Flickr frequently (hah424), and I’m encouraged by a wonderful group of fans that I’ve amassed there. I’m still learning to love myself. And to all the young ladies paying attention, ”It gets better.”
There are all shapes and sizes in this world, enjoy them all.
